This was my first ever 2D portrait. The person in this portrait is one of my closest friends in college. I did not have any solid reason as to why I decided to choose her for my portrait assignment. Maybe it was because I intended it to be a childish prank, or maybe I did not have other picture of my friends and doing a portrait of a celebrity would be too cliche and generic. Or it could even be because of her personality, although it may seem like she is boring and dull, but if you get to really know her, she's a pretty kind and cheerful person. She would help her classmates in their assignments without asking  anything for return. She's also a strong person on the inside, but she lacks confidence in herself which I think she's perfect just the way she is now. This was a good first try on a 2D portrait, but without a doubt I can do better. Because as it is now, it seem like any other 2D portrait. I want to find and evolve my own personal art style.
